Something wonderful is happening in the realm of men’s shoe design. Here are three emerging brands with a unique approach to design to keep an eye on, new at FN PLATFORM this August: newmens_rollie

Taking style cues from your favorite Hollywood stylistas and trendsetters is now easier than ever with many top shoe brands allowing celebrities to bring their style to shoppers through capsule collections. These collaborations allow brands to essentially connect to a new market through their stylish stars, while fans can shop designs at an affordable price.

FN PLATFORM brand, Chinese Laundry recently paired with Kristin Cavallari, who’s also the brands web ambassador, for a collection of classically feminine styles. Cavallari’s designs are on trend with platform pumps and strappy sandal styles for summer. Women with a reserved, subtle approach to style will love this collection.

Also presented at FN PLATFORM, Emmanuelle Chriqui joined Charles David as the face of their 2013 Spring and Summer ad campaign and will launch her own capsule collection for Fall of this year, which we got a peek at this past February. Chriqui’s style will complement the brand’s sophisticated aesthetic, perfect for the working woman who appreciates delicates detail and a bit of whimsy.

FNP Trend Report: Lazer Leather Lace

Coco Chanel once said; “I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy of nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin.”

There is no denying the truth in Coco’s words. But then again, when is she ever wrong? The prettiness of lace has graced the world of fashion for ages as the delicate open patch fabric indelibly conjures up visions of dark romance and seductive drama. Once reserved for formal evening wear, lace is now a prevailing element in everyday fashion, especially thanks to the re-emergence of lazer cutting.

We love these “wear every day” styles from these FN PLATFORM brands that offer the lacy look a sturdy but pretty alternative.
